Extra Time curated by designer, photographer, and GIRLFANS founder Jacqui McAssey is a showcase of reimagined ephemera which unpicks the uniform, fleeting nature of football merch. Shot by Marc Provins this catalog documents the ephemera collected over the course of two years. Ceramics, textiles, and ornaments have been reconceptualised by McAssey and a group of creative collaborators.
Further collaborators include Mike Holmes, designer of The Long Shot Exp., plus designer and art director Christopher Shannon. While half-and-half scarves and shirts embroidered with match details have a 90 minute window of relevance, the unrepeatable nature of the Extra Time collection inspires a permanence that its source materials lack. Alongside wearable pieces, visitors will see the faces of twee ceramic figures - a charity shop staple - over-painted with the England cross. Standard issue trinkets and die-hard fans meet.
